Buyer – Ngodwana Energy
Ngodwana Energy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient and compliant procurement of goods and services across multiple mills in line with procurement policies and sourcing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for:
- Procuring materials and services in line with approved specifications, procurement policies, and sourcing strategies.
- Supporting strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and contract management initiatives.
- Ensuring supplier compliance with quality standards and resolving supplier-related quality concerns.
- Negotiating favourable commercial terms and payment conditions with suppliers.
- Coordinating with technical departments and suppliers to resolve specification discrepancies and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Supporting tender processes, including bid preparation, evaluation, and procurement compliance activities.
- Maintaining accurate procurement, vendor, and contract information within SAP and related systems.
- Supporting Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) initiatives by promoting local supplier participation and monitoring supplier performance.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or NQF Level 5–6 qualification in Supply Chain Management or a related Procurement field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within an industrial procurement or materials management environment.
- SAP MM experience is essential.
- Experience within a technical and/or manufacturing environment will be advantageous.
